WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center
The WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center (WIPO Center) was established in 1994 to offer Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) options for the resolution of international commercial disputes between private parties. It is one of the specialized centers in providing dispute resolution services related to domain names (under generic Top-Level Domains (gTLDs) and country code Top-Level Domains (ccTLDs)). Since 2000, the WIPO Center has provided advice to many ccTLDs related to dispute resolution policies and procedures in conformity with international standards of intellectual property protection while taking into account the particular circumstances and needs of the individual ccTLD. The WIPO Center currently provides domain name dispute resolution services for over 75 ccTLDs and has processed over 6,000 ccTLD cases.
